harana poetry welcomes submissions of unpublished poetry from poets who write in English as a second or parallel language.

Our next submissions window will be 1-31 July 2026. Work sent outside of this window will not be considered.

guidelines

• Submit up to 5 poems maximum per submissions window. Please compile all poems into a single document (do not attach multiple files).

• Each poem must not exceed 60 lines.

• We only accept previously unpublished work. This includes poems printed in anthologies, features in other journals, or self-published pieces on personal blogs and social media.

• We accept simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately via email if a piece is accepted elsewhere.

• Please submit your document in .doc, .docx, or .pdf format using a standard 12pt font. Start each poem on a new page.

• Send your submission to haranapoetry@gmail.com. Your email subject line must say: Issue 13

• Include a brief cover note and a short third-person biography (up to 60 words) detailing your language background or the relationship of English as your second or parallel language.
