For an “artsy” type, I’ve not been too terrible with maths over the years.

I’m usually the friend that splits the bill

(and makes sure you pay less if you didn’t drink and we all share the tip.)

I’m also a good sleeper – cars, buses, trains, planes, classrooms, lecture theatres, movie theatres, murder mysteries on Netflix – all great snooze settings.

The best configuration though is you, next to me –

peaceful small spoon, scrolling through your reels.

I never struggle to fall asleep, but often wake up first.

My brain tells me to go back to bed, suggests counting blessings rather than sheep.

I look over at you and it suddenly seems I can only count to one.
