the tides in pluto
By victoria mallorga hernandez

watch me draw an eclipse

between us

the wiggles a bleeding heart

towards any part of you

that could be caught under the light

before time swallows us

tide plenty

we’ve wasted its ebbs before

the stretch of your back under my fingers

ignoring the frequency calling

the alarm against the rising water

sunken under the little noises

of your throat,

the way they become a warble of sound

&burrow into my nerves

until all I hear is your breath drawing

an eclipse between our hands

fading out the old red thread saying

let light drip until our bodies collide

eyes wide open,

feeling ashore.
